Hike
I started checking online for a nice area to hike and enjoy cooler weather. I found the perfect spot called Horton Creek Trail just outside Payson, which is a two hour drive from here.
I told Mary about taking Juilette and both she and Jordan wanted to go also. So, we decided to go on a Saturday and make a day of it. I got up early and got ready and made breakfast for everyone so we could get off with a good start. I packed a back pack and loaded up the car. We also bought some things to keep Juliette happy on the trip -- one was my MP3 player (she just loves the music I have on it). We also took some matching cards.
The drive up was great and I got to catch up time with our daughter while Juliette listened to music the whole way. When we got there, we parked alongside the road, then we all got out, and walked down by the creek.
The weather was so nice and butterflies were everywhere, big ones and small ones, and they were beautiful. Juliette loved them and they were landing on her hand.
We went for a hike along the creek. We went to the fish hatchery and we even got to feed the trout. It was getting late so we went back to Payson, had lunch, and then we headed home.
I loved spending time with my family and can't wait until our next adventure together.

Grandsons
I have two special grandsons I don't see much. I love them a lot and I wish I could spend more time with them.
I love pictures and hearing stories about them. I enjoy every bit of information I can get. I look forward to being able to spend more time with them.

Scotty
My granddaughter and I really enjoyed American Idol this year. I started watching it -- I don't
know why because I never did before -- and I was hooked. I just loved listening to Scotty at the very beginning, then my 5 year old granddaughter heard him and she was hooked too.
She also had the Scotty look with her eye brows, and it was so cute . We faithfully watched every week. We would hold our breath each time hoping he wouldn't be kicked off.
My granddaughter would get so excited every time she heard him sing . We always voted for him every week and this was something we also never did before.
Then came the last night. We were excited and scared -- only two people were left. When they announced the winner and it was Scotty, we were so happy we jumped up and down.
There was a day she came and she was quite sad. I asked her what was wrong and she said her aunt had a record of Scotty and she didn't have one. I went on the internet and found his song "I Love You This Big" and made her a copy to listen to all the time.
These are lots and lots of memories that will last forever.

A Mother's Day to Remember
On the Saturday before Mother's Day, I took my daughter out for a piece of cheesecake and a movie. This is something we do a lot , but this day was just a little more special.
We had a great time together and, around 9:30pm, I took her home. We stopped at the Fry's food store that was close to her home and picked up some bananas that she needed. We turned right at the light at Warner and Val Vista. As we were going west, a car was trying to cross seven traffic lanes driving straight across from Target at the Southwest part of the intersection to the Fry's food store at the Northwest. I saw him coming and peeped my horn at him, but he kept right on coming and ran right into my door. He hit us hard and my daughter and I were screaming and scared to death.
Some one called the police, and asked us if we were OK. After I was pried out of the car. we were pretty well shaken up. My daughter was able to call her dad and her husband.
Even though the car was a total loss with $13,000 damage, we were able to walk away from it without any serious injuries. We were thankful...

Easter
Easter was such a good time and we spent it with our family. The Saturday before Easter there was a neighborhood egg hunt and we got to take our grandson and granddaughter. I enjoyed it as much as they did. It was such a nice day.
Afterwards, we walked home, and colored eggs. Oh what fun, I loved every minute of it.
Later that day, we went to the aquarium at one of the malls. It cost a lot and I wasn't sure it would be good. I'm happy that I was wrong because it was worth it.
I spent Easter Sunday at our church just being thankful for the Saviour and what He did for each of us.
So our Easter was the best, because I was with the people I love the most.

Seaworld Vacation
Our trip started with a long drive on March 15. We left at 10:00am and arrived around three in the afternoon.
The first thing we did was check in at the hotel -- it was a Days Inn and close to sea world. Then we went to the ocean. We took our shoes off, rolled our pants up, and let the waves come and get us. The water was freezing, but we did"t care because we loved it.
The next"s day we went early to sea world. We started around 10:00am so we could get our money's worth. We paid extra money for closer parking and that was a mistake -- it wasn't any closer. We got in and went to all the shows, but we stayed away from the wet areas. We enjoyed everything except lunch, it cost way too much. My favorite thing was the Journey to Atlantis ride. We took our granddaughter, her dad, her mom, and her uncle. It was amazing with water falls, twisting turns, and a 60 foot drop. Both her mom and I screamed all the way down, but not my granddaughter -- she loved it and then wanted to go again. It was a thrill. We stayed until 6:00pm and was a long day, but we loved every minute of it.
The children were so good -- what a great family trip.
